Inferno Firefighting Robo

The biggest advantages of droids is there ability to operate in conditions that would cripple or kill an organic being, and the firefighting robo is a perfect example of this, and is capable of surviving blistering temperatures to douse a burning fire. The Corporate Sector Authority`s modular Inferno units are among the most orginal and versatile emergency droids ever devised. The droids are quick and manuverable, and they can even link together to fight fires in teams or split up and use their antigravity repulsors to attack the blaze from diffrent directions and elevations.
The Corporate Sector Authority`s Inferno systems consists of one "host" carrier unit and four smaller firefighters. When an alarm is sounded the host unit races to the scene with a military grade repulsorlift engine, and in a large scale crisis multiple hosts are ferried to the site aboard cargo transports, and upon arrival the individual robos detach from their parent and speed into the conflagration. The small units are built to be protected against the fire through tough armor and a heat-resistant alloy coating. The unit has a ventrally mounted spray nozzle that releases a high-pressure stream of fire-retardant foam, and this foam is usally effective against most electrical and chemical fires. The units are also equipped with a small laser cutter that is used to slice through doors and flaming wreckage.
It`s two heavy gripper arms were orginally designed to manipulate machinery but they are most offten used to drag unconscious victims from the fire to safety. The droids compact head is located on its left side an contains an infrared photoreceptor, an echolocation scanner, a high-intensity searchlight, and a loudspeaker that is used to broadcast evacutation instructions or siren whoops. The Inferno robo`s are designed to be capable of snapping together one on top of each other to form a formidable firefighting tower, but a more common use is where two units facing the front and two units facing the back, then they spray foam in both directions as they streak through the burning building.
When the droids foam supplies are exhausted they return to the host unit and are replenished from the host units large tanker of foam through eight articulated fueling hoses. The Inferno Firefighting Robo`s are still gaining popularity outside the Corporate Sector.
