Gorm The Dissolver is a very bizzarre entity whose origins are swathed in mystery. There are very few beings that have heard of Arkanian Renegades, a group of scientists who attempted to topple the Arkanian Dominion around fifty years before the Battle of Yavin.
The coup was a complete disaster for the Renegades, but there unique handy work lived long on after their creators` bloody executions. The Renegades had tried to create the ultimate mercenary army, since the Arkanians possesed the intamite knowledge of cyborging and these Renegades were no exception. Through very arcane and forbidden practices they assembled a ruthless fighting force that was made part droid, part organic, and all attitude.
There were several of these half-and-half warriors that survived the dustup on Arkania and they then struck out on their own. One of these was the warrior Gorm who contains parts from six alien species and seven generations of droid electronics.
It is still unclear how much of that equipment is orginal since the hunter long ago learned how to repair and reasseble himself. Gorm in theory could live on for centuries by scrounging body parts from scrapped robots and fallen victims to patch up his lanky like frame. Gorm`s current height is an imposing 2.5 meters tall, and his twin photoreceptors burn from beneath his battered Ithullian infantry helmet. Gorm`s left forearm is barely recognizable due to the fact that it is the severed limb of Vultar the Ugly, who was a Trandoshan who started a brutal underworld power strugle many decades ago.
Gorm earned his nicknamed Gorm "The Dissolver" very early in his carrer, when he used to support a recycling-droid appendage capable of reducing matter to raw molecular paste. Gorm lost the tool in a savage encounter with the Jedi Knights, and he know uses a more conventinal arm in its place. Gorm`s weapons currently include a custom-built repeater rifle and an incendiary slugthrower that is strapped to his chest, and in close quaters he prefers to use his concealed molecular garrote.
One of the very few beings to ever take down Gorm was the Rodian youngster Greedo who made a very lucky shot in a Nar Shaddaa alleyway. This didn`t stop Gorm because really the only way to truely destroy him is to reduce him to constituted atoms. After being taking down by Greedo he came back and accepted a bounty from Jabba the Hutt to bring fellow hunter Zardra to heel. His current whereabouts are still unknown after the bounty was brought in.
