The Rodians are the best bounty hunters in the galaxy and this didn`t happen by just staying still. They used there D-Tec RHTC-560 which is the culmination of years of research, that is combined into a single perfect target for them to train on.
The RHTC-560 system consits of one master control unit and several hunter trainer drones, and sometimes the controller droid is even used as a target too, but most frequently the trainer drones are used. The controller droid controls the drones while it remains stationary, and it is capable to command up to ten HT drones, and the controller itself is programmed with the most advanced stealth and evasion techniques.
The droid is humanoid in shape, and the controller itself really looks like a bizarre cross between a Rodian and an armor-plated arachnid. The unit is equipped with wicked claws that protrude from its hands and feet, and its speed and agility make it difficult to subdue, as many Rodians will attest to after their first encounter with the droid. The RHTC-560`s standard equippment includes a vocabulator, a wideband transceiver, and a sophisticated sensor array, and the droids scomp-link access port allows the droid to download visual recordings from its drones and replay the data at post-hunt debriefings.
A popular add-on package includes twin forearm-mounted stun blasters. The HT drones are small and compact in design, and they move around on their legs or an antigravity repulsor unit, and this is decided on the difficulty of the hunt program. Each of the drones do not have independant brains and this makes them incapable of making decisions without the guidance of the controller unit, and their effective range is around fifty kilometers from the controller unit.
Each of these drones are equipped with two retractable manipulator arms, a high-intensity searchlight, and a stun blaster. The RHTC-560 droids are set apart from previous trainers by their versatility and adaptability of the units programming, and this is show with the fact that the unit responds to threats in a noval way.
It will sometimes take cover beneath the surface of a river (the unit is fully submersible) and then use its drones to flush wild game as a startling distraction. Although this creativity is disabled during low-difficultly simulations.
The RHTC-560 is just now begining to be sold widely off Rodia, and a new controller unit is running for around 5,500 credits, and the drones themselves are running for around 2,000 credits per unit.
